Are Dogs Better Than Cats?
By Sunny
The debate between dogs and cats has been going on for a long time. Some people prefer cats for their independence and quiet nature, while others, like me, believe that dogs are better overall. AND NO ONE CAN CHANGE MY VIEW. While both animals make great pets in their own unique ways, I think dogs have more qualities that make them stand out. From loyalty and protection to helping people and improving health, dogs give you a lot more than just companionship.
One of the biggest reasons why dogs are better than cats is their loyalty. There’s a reason people say, “A dog is man’s best friend.” Dogs are known for bonding and being strongly loyal with their owners. They don’t just live in your house and be lazy like cats, but they become your own bodyguard. A dog can quickly build trust with you and will often stay by your side no matter what. Dogs follow you, listen to your every word, and even comfort you when you’re feeling down. Cats, on the other hand, are more independent. They are usually MEAN, and some cats even act like they don’t care if you’re there or not. While that works for some people, I prefer a pet that actually wants to spend time with me.
Another big advantage dogs have is protection. Dogs are alert, and many will bark and kill at sight if they sense danger. That’s why people put up signs that say, 'Beware of Dog.' Never 'Beware of Cat'. They actually guard your home. Even in ancient times, dogs were used as guards to protect people and property. Cats don’t do that. Most cats will just run away or hide if something strange happens. If I had to choose a pet to protect my family, I would pick a dog every time. Cat's are useless in my opinion.
Dogs are also very helpful to people in serious ways. There are guide dogs for the blind, service dogs for people with disabilities, and therapy dogs that support people with stress or anxiety. These dogs are trained to save lives or make life easier for someone who’s struggling. That’s something cats don’t do. Cats are more passive pets , fun to pet and play with sometimes, but not really useful when it comes to helping people with real problems. So dogs win once again!
And finally, dogs are great for your physical and mental health. Studies have shown that being around dogs can reduce stress, lower anxiety, and even help people feel happier. Playing or walking with a dog helps you stay active, and even something simple like reading to a dog can boost confidence. A lot of schools and libraries have programs where kids read to dogs because it helps them stay calm and focused. Cats might be relaxing too, but they don’t get people outside or moving around the same way dogs do.
Of course, I’m not saying cats are bad pets. They’re clean, supportive, and can be very gentle and sweet. But overall, when you look at the loyalty, protection, support, and health benefits dogs bring, I believe dogs clearly come out on top. They’re not just pets — they’re true companions who will stand by your side, help you when you need it, and even protect you if something goes wrong.
So in my opinion, dogs aren’t just better than cats , they’re one of the best animals you can ever have as a friend. Dogs are man's best friends!
MY MOM!!!!!
My mom is simply the BEST mom that there ever is. You simply cannot compare my mom to any other mom. I love my mom too. She is also the most loving person I know! She’s a little bit chubby though, but that makes her better to hug! She has the biggest heart and always makes sure her kids are safe and happy!
One of the best things about my mom is how much she protects us. When I get sick, she is the one who can’t sleep and has to sleep with me all night. When I feel sad, she knows how to cheer me up. Or when I have some problem in my life, she is always the one being there with me! She always worries about me, but that just makes her a better mom. She works hard everyday, and still has the mind to be with me 24/7 when she gets home.
My mom is super smart! She was always at the top of her class when she was younger, and sometimes she was even the top student in her whole university! I think that’s really amazing. But what makes her even more special is that she’s not just smart, she also knows how to take care of me so well.
She helps me when I’m stuck with random homework, gives great advice, and always knows how to cheer me up. It’s like she’s got superpowers or something! I’m really lucky to have a mom who’s not only super smart but also really kind, loving, and fun to be around.
My mom also knows how to cook! She can cook My Quang, Bun Bo, Com Chien, … She’s my mom, but she is like a god to me. An all powerful god. King of the House, and also talented in every way possible! I heard that my friends also ‘love’ my mom!
Even when my mom is busy, or tired, she is always there for me to talk with. If it’s an issue about friends, or about my stinky monkey Lucas, she always provides detailed and heartfelt advice for me to listen to. She’s my free therapist! Things go in to her, and doesn’t go out. That’s how loyal she is to me! I love my mom!
To me, my mom isn’t just an ordinary ‘mom’. She’s an all powerful, feared, god at some point, but there are others when she is the hero with a golden heart, and even some when she’s the scary villain. But overall most of the time, she is the mom with the loving heart that I love, and I am so lucky to have her in my life;.
MY DALAT TRIP:
My Đà Lạt Trip
This summer, I went on a six-day trip to Đà Lạt with my two best friends, Mia and True. Since school had just ended, we were all excited for a break and ready for an adventure. The trip was full of fun moments, some unexpected surprises, and a lot of great food. Here’s how it went.
Day 1: Starting the Trip
We had to be at the Saigon airport at 5 AM, which was way too early, but we didn’t care because we were excited. The flight was short, and before we knew it, we landed in Đà Lạt. We checked into the resort, then went to Blue Dream Bread for breakfast. The food was great.
Later, we went to Zoodoo Zoo, but we weren’t really interested in the tour, so we decided to visit a pet café instead. It was much more fun. Since we had lunch pretty late, we were starving by the time dinner came around. True’s mom recommended a restaurant, and she was right—the food was amazing.
Day 2: A Relaxing Day
We woke up later than usual, but I got up at 6 AM because I didn’t want to miss the buffet breakfast. It was worth it. After eating, we visited Suối Bình Yên, a quiet and peaceful place where we took pictures and just relaxed. My mom was still working at the resort, so it was just us again.
Later, we had a snack lunch back at the resort, which was really nice. My mom loved it, and honestly, so did I. We spent the rest of the day relaxing, with no dinner plans, just enjoying the time off.
Day 3: Chocolate and Pizza Day
My mom finally joined us! We had breakfast, checked out, and then went straight to Balava Chocolate House. This place was so fun—we got to make our own chocolate and pizzas. Of course, we ate them for lunch, and they were really good.
After hanging out at Balava for a while, we checked into our next hotel, Fairy Town. This place was huge, and all the rooms were connected, which meant one thing—sleepovers.
Day 4: Weird Drama
We had breakfast and then went to my brother’s friend’s house. Everything was fine until the drama happened. His parents yelled at us, claiming we were “bullying” their son. It was so confusing because we hadn’t done anything. I never expected two adults to shout at kids like that. It felt like a total waste of time, so we just tried to move on.
Later, we had a picnic lunch back at the resort. My dad arrived for the last two days of the trip.
Day 5: The Slowest Day Ever
This day was all about doing nothing. In the morning? Nothing. Lunch? Noodles and nothing. The evening? Still nothing, except watching a show called Em Xinh Say Hi!—which was really good.
My dad had to leave early for work, but he still had fun while he was there.
Day 6: Go-Karts and Puppies
The last day! In the morning, we went go-karting at Cao Nguyên Hoa, which was so much fun—I almost crashed, but I was fine!
Later, we went to Puppy Farm, where we played on slides, grass, and had a great time. After everything, we packed up and headed to the airport at 8 PM. Mia’s family stayed behind to visit relatives, but the rest of us flew home.
This trip was so much fun, and even though I say I never want to go on another one (because I’m still tired), I already know I’ll want another adventure soon.
Okay, so let’s settle down. Everyone has their favorite superhero—some people love Spider-Man for his funny one-liners, others go for the strength of Hulk or the bravery of Captain America. But for me, my favorite is a little bit different. He’s not from another planet, he doesn’t have superpowers from a lab accident, and he doesn’t swing from webs. My favorite superhero is Tony Stark—also known as Iron Man.
What makes Iron Man stand out to me is that his power could actually be real. He’s just a regular human, but with one important difference: he’s a genius. Tony Stark uses his brain to build high-tech armor, weapons, and even artificial intelligence. He’s proof that being smart is a kind of superpower all on its own. I think that’s what makes him so cool—he didn’t get bitten by a radioactive bug or fall into a vat of chemicals. He built his power with his own hands.
Another reason I admire Iron Man is because of his personality. Sure, he can be arrogant and stubborn, but underneath all that, he really cares. At first, he was just a billionaire who made weapons. But after realizing the damage his inventions caused, he changed. He decided to take responsibility and fight for something bigger than himself. That takes guts. He shows that even if you make mistakes, you can still turn things around and become a hero.
Iron Man also teaches an important lesson about not giving up. In the first Iron Man movie, Tony is captured and held in a cave with nothing but scraps. But instead of panicking or giving up, he builds the first Iron Man suit right there. That kind of creativity and determination is something I really admire. It shows that no matter how bad things get, there’s always a way to fight back if you keep thinking and don’t lose hope.
What I love most about Tony Stark is that he’s not perfect—and that’s what makes him real. He struggles with fear, pressure, and the weight of his decisions, just like anyone would. But he keeps trying to be better, and in the end, he sacrifices everything to save others. That’s what makes him a true hero.
Even though Iron Man is from the Marvel Universe, his story feels like it could happen. Maybe not flying around in a suit just yet, but the idea of using science, intelligence, and heart to make the world better—that's something we can actually work toward.
So yeah, my favorite superhero doesn’t fly with magic or shoot lightning. He builds his power, learns from his past, and uses his brain to save the day. That’s why Iron Man will always be my number one.
Imagine this: I’m just starting up my favorite video game, ready to play for a little while and relax. But then, something totally unexpected happens. The screen flashes—super bright—and suddenly, everything around me changes. When I open my eyes, I’m inside the game. The grass looks weird and blocky, the sky’s this strange glowing color, and even my hands don’t look like mine anymore.
At first, honestly, I’d think it was awesome. No school, no homework, just an open world to explore? Sounds like a dream. But pretty quickly, I’d realize it’s not just a game anymore—there’s no pause button, no quitting. And the scariest part? If I mess up, I don’t know what’ll happen. I might not get a second chance.
So the first thing I’d do is try to figure out what kind of game I’m in. Is it an adventure with dragons and treasure? A mystery full of hidden puzzles? I’d need to pay attention to everything—look for clues, talk to characters, maybe even find a map or some kind of guide.
Then I’d gather anything that might help: tools, weapons, potions—whatever the game allows. I’d stay alert for traps or enemies, and avoid doing anything reckless. If there’s a way to save progress, you can bet I’d use it every chance I get.
Once I had a grip on the world, I’d focus on the main goal. Every game has one, right? Maybe there’s a final boss to defeat or a secret area to unlock. No matter how tough things get, I’d push through, using everything I’ve learned to keep moving forward.
And if I finally beat the game? I think something would change—maybe a portal appears, or I wake up back in my room like nothing ever happened. I’d see my bed, my desk, and probably just sit there for a second, stunned... and really, really glad to be home.
So yeah, getting stuck in a video game might sound cool at first—but when you really think about it, it would be way more intense than it seems. To survive, I’d need to stay sharp, think things through, and never give up. If I did that, I think I could make it out.
If I could have any superpower for just one day, I’d choose the power to pause time. Not fly or be invisible or anything crazy like that—just stop time completely. I think it would be the most useful and coolest power, even if it’s only for 24 hours.
First of all, I’d probably use it to do whatever I want. I could pause time during school and just walk out of class. No one would even notice. I could grab some snacks from the store (okay, maybe that’s stealing, but I’d put the money back after time starts again). I’d go to the arcade, play every game for free, or maybe sneak into a movie theater. I know it sounds a little selfish, but if I only had one day, I’d definitely have some fun with it.
But I wouldn’t just mess around the whole time. I think I’d also use the power to help people. Like, if I saw someone about to get hurt—like falling off their bike or dropping something important—I could pause time and fix it. Or if someone was super stressed or having a bad day, I could do something small to help them out without them even knowing. That would feel pretty cool.
Honestly, I think the best part of pausing time would be the silence. Everything would be totally still, no noise, no people talking, no rushing around. Sometimes the world feels so loud and fast, and just being able to sit in total peace for a bit sounds amazing. I could think clearly, take a break, and not worry about anything for a while.
Of course, I’d have to be careful. It might be really tempting to do stuff I shouldn’t. But I think I’d try to use the power in a way that I wouldn’t regret later. It’s not like I’d have it forever, so I’d want to make the most of the time I had.
When the day ended and time started again, everything would go back to normal. But maybe I’d see things a little differently. Maybe I’d realize how fast time really moves, and how important it is to slow down sometimes, even without superpowers.
So yeah, if I had a superpower for one day, I’d pause time. I’d have fun, help people, and enjoy the quiet. I think it would be the best 24 hours ever.
If I could be any animal, I would choose to be a wolf. Wolves are known for being intelligent, loyal, and strong. They live in packs and rely on teamwork, but they can also survive on their own when they have to. I feel like that really reflects who I am. I value friendship and family, but I also enjoy having time to myself. Wolves have a good balance between being social and independent, which is something I try to have in my own life too.
Wolves are also quiet but alert. Like me! They don’t make a lot of noise, but they always know what’s happening around them. I think I’m kind of like that—I observe a lot, and I don’t always speak first, but I think carefully before I act. Wolves plan, hunt together, and communicate in their own way, and I admire how smart and focused they are. When I have a goal, whether it’s a school project or something personal, I try my best to stay on track and not give up.
Another reason I would be a wolf is because of how loyal they are to their pack. They take care of each other, share food, and protect the weaker members. I try to be that kind of person too. I want to be someone my friends and family can count on. Even though I might not always show it, I care deeply about the people close to me, and I’m willing to stand up for them when it matters.
Of course, life as a wolf wouldn’t be easy. They have to survive in the wild, face danger from other animals, and work hard just to eat. But I think those challenges would make me stronger. Wolves don’t back down easily, and they’re tough both physically and mentally. I want to be someone who can handle hard things in life, not just the easy ones.
Some people might pick animals like lions or eagles because they seem more powerful or famous. But wolves are powerful in a quiet, steady way. They don’t need attention or praise, they just keep moving forward. That’s something I really respect. I want to be like that too! Being confident in yourself without needing to prove it to everyone is something I’m still learning, but wolves seem to understand it naturally.
If I were really a wolf, I imagine I'd run around eating meat all I want, or I’d be wild, free, and fearless. But even as a human, I can still take inspiration from what a wolf stands for, strength, loyalty, independence, and determination.
My little brother's name is Nguyen Minh Nhat, but everyone calls him Lucas. He is 8 years old, and to be honest, he is very annoying. I know you're supposed to love your siblings, and I do, but sometimes he just drives me crazy.
\
Lucas is always running around, yelling, and messing with my stuff. He doesn’t knock before coming into my room, and when I tell him to leave, he just laughs and stays there. Sometimes he steals my snacks or tries to play with my toys even though he has his own. And the worst part? He acts like it’s funny. I’ll be doing something important, like playing Roblox or trying to focus on homework, and suddenly he’s next to me making weird noises or doing some random dance he made up.
Even though he’s small, he somehow has the loudest voice in the whole house. He sings random songs at the top of his lungs, even when no one wants to hear it. He also asks a million questions every day. "What are you doing?" "Where are you going?" "Can I come?" It never ends. It’s like living with a tiny, noisy detective who never stops talking.
But even though Lucas is super annoying, he can also be kind of funny. Sometimes when he’s not being too crazy, he actually makes me laugh. He has silly ideas and says weird things that don’t even make sense, but somehow they’re still funny. Sometimes we play together and it’s actually fun—until he cheats, of course. He always wants to win, and when he doesn’t, he gets mad and says the game is broken.
There are also times when he tries to be helpful, like bringing me water or sharing something with me. Those moments don’t happen often, but when they do, I remember that he’s just a kid and he really looks up to me. I think he just wants to be around me all the time, even if it’s annoying.
At the end of the day, I guess having a little brother like Lucas isn’t all bad. He makes our house noisy and messy, but he also makes it more fun and full of energy. Sometimes I wish he would leave me alone for five minutes, but other times, I think I’d miss him if he wasn’t there.
Lucas might be annoying, loud, and a little crazy, but he’s my little brother. And even if I don’t always say it, I do care about him. Just... don’t tell him I said that!
My mom’s name is Truong Nguyen Mai Thao. She is 40 years old and she is Vietnamese. She is the most caring and loving person I know. I can say without a doubt that she is the best mom ever. Even though she is a little bit chubby, I think that just makes her even cuter. She has the biggest heart and always makes sure everyone in our family is happy.
One of the best things about my mom is how much she takes care of us. When I get sick, she is the one who stays by my side all night. When I feel sad, she knows how to cheer me up. Sometimes it is with a warm hug, and sometimes it is with something funny she says. She always knows what I need, even before I say anything. She works so hard every single day but still finds time to help me with school, talk to me, or just sit and listen.
My mom is also a 'good' cook. Not the best but GOOD! Her Mi Quang and Bun Bo Hue are so delicious. No restaurant can beat the way she makes them. The noodles are always just right, the broth smells amazing, and every bite feels like home. When I come home from school and smell her cooking, I feel so happy. I always know dinner will be something special. She puts so much love into her food and I can really taste it.
Even when she is tired or busy, my mom still takes time to smile and laugh with us. Sometimes she sings or dances while cooking, and it makes everyone laugh. She also says funny things when she mixes up English and Vietnamese, and we both laugh a lot. My mom is not just a mom who takes care of things, she is fun and full of energy too. Our house always feels warm and alive because of her.
She also helps me with my homework and reminds me to do the right things. She wants me to be a good person, and she shows me how by being one herself. She teaches me to be honest, respectful, and kind. She may not say it all the time, but I know she loves me more than anything. And I love her too, more than I can say.
To me, my mom is a hero. She might not wear a cape or save the world, but she saves my world every single day. I hope one day I can make her as proud of me as I am of her. She means everything to me. Truong Nguyen Mai Thao is the best mom in the world, and I am so lucky that she is mine.
My best friend at home is Trinh Phuc Vinh, but I like to call him Booney. We’ve known each other since we were born, and now we’re both 11 and a half years old. Even though we don’t live right next to each other, we live really close, so we still hang out a lot. Booney isn’t just my friend—he’s more like a brother to me.
Booney and I spend a lot of time playing games, talking, and laughing. One of our favorite things to do together is play Roblox. Booney is really, really good at it. His favorite game is “Grow a Garden,” and he’s a total pro at it. Every time we play, he builds the best garden and gets all the cool upgrades. I always try to catch up, but he’s just too fast! Sometimes he teaches me tricks or gives me tips on how to level up faster. Even when I mess up or lose, Booney never laughs at me or makes me feel bad. He’s always nice and supportive.
Besides gaming, we also like to talk about school, shows, funny videos, and random stuff. We always find something to laugh about. Booney is one of the funniest people I know. Sometimes we laugh so much that we can’t even talk anymore, and our stomachs hurt from laughing. We even have our own inside jokes that only we understand. That’s something really special about our friendship—we don’t have to do anything big or fancy to have fun. Just being together is enough.
Even when we aren’t hanging out in person, we still chat online or call each other. No matter what’s going on, Booney is always there. He listens to me when I’m upset and cheers me up when I’m feeling down. He’s not just a great gamer—he’s a great friend. He’s honest, kind, and always knows how to make my day better. I know I can trust him with anything, and I think he feels the same way about me.
We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember, and I hope we’ll stay friends for many more years. I don’t know what I’d do without him. Life would be a lot more boring without Booney around. He makes everything more fun, more exciting, and just better.
In the end, Booney is more than just a friend from the neighborhood. He’s the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—fun, smart, kind, and always there when you need him. I feel really lucky to know him, and I’m proud to call him my best friend.
Hi! My name is Sunny. I’m 12 years old and I live in Vietnam. I study at Vinschool Golden River, and I really enjoy going to school every day. The teachers are kind, the classrooms are bright, and I have amazing friends who make school even more fun.
My best friends are Mia, Johnny, Lincoln, Sam, and Dave. We play together, talk at lunch, and help each other with homework. Mia always gets good grades and explains things clearly when I’m stuck. Johnny cracks the funniest jokes and makes us laugh all the time. Lincoln solves problems super fast and keeps us calm when things get messy. Sam loves to run and play games, and Dave always shows us cool drawings he makes. We do everything as a team.
When I’m not at school, I play football. I play it almost every day after class. I usually play as a striker because I love to score goals. Running on the field, kicking the ball, and hearing people cheer makes me feel alive. My favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo. I watch his games, study his moves, and try to play like him. I even practice with my dad on weekends—he passes the ball to me, and I try to score. It’s our special time together.
At school, I enjoy PE and English the most. In PE, we play football, basketball, and other sports. I like moving around and being active. In English, I like writing stories and learning new words. My teacher always encourages us to speak confidently and try our best. I feel proud when I write a good story or answer questions out loud.
Vinschool also plans fun activities like Sports Day and field trips. I remember one trip when we visited a nature park. We saw animals, played team games, and ate lunch outside. I ran around with my friends and laughed the whole day. That memory still makes me smile.
I dream of becoming a professional football player. I know it won’t be easy, but I believe I can do it if I train hard and stay focused. My friends support me, and I support their dreams too. We always say, “Never give up,” and I try to live by that.
So that’s me—Sunny! I’m 12 years old, I love football, and I go to a great school with the best friends ever. Every day brings something new, and I’m excited to learn, play, and chase my dreams.
When I moved from grade 5 to grade 6, I thought everything would stay the same because I didn’t change schools. I still studied at Vinschool Golden River, and I still saw some of my old friends and teachers. But even though the school stayed the same, my experience changed a lot. I felt like I had entered a completely new part of my life.
In grade 5, I followed a simple routine. I stayed in one classroom, had one main teacher, and spent most of the day with the same group of classmates. I felt comfortable and confident. The lessons were fun, and I had time to relax. I never worried too much about forgetting books or being late to class.
But in grade 6, everything became more serious. I started moving from classroom to classroom for different subjects. I met new teachers for every subject—math, science, English, literature, and more. At first, I mixed up their names and forgot which room to go to. One time, I even walked into the wrong class! I quickly realized I needed to pay more attention to my schedule and stay organized.
The work also became harder. I started getting more homework, and the tests felt more challenging. I couldn’t just play games after school like I used to. I had to manage my time better. I created a small to-do list at home to help me finish homework before playing. After a few weeks, I got used to the routine and started feeling more confident.
I also met new classmates in grade 6. Some came from different classes, and a few transferred from other schools. At first, I felt nervous around them. I missed my old class and didn’t know if I’d make new friends. But I introduced myself, joined group activities, and played football during breaks. Slowly, I made new friends who now feel like my second family.
Even though I stayed at Vinschool Golden River, I noticed how the teachers treated us differently. They expected us to be more independent and responsible. They gave us more group projects and class discussions. They listened to our ideas and encouraged us to speak up. That made me feel more grown-up and respected.
I faced some hard days, too. I didn’t always get high scores, and sometimes I felt tired or stressed. But I didn’t give up. I asked for help when I needed it, studied harder, and learned from my mistakes. My teachers and family supported me, and I kept going.
Looking back, I see how much I’ve grown. I’ve learned how to manage my time, study better, and take more responsibility for my learning. Grade 6 challenged me, but it also helped me become stronger and more confident.
Even though I stayed at the same school, moving from grade 5 to grade 6 changed me in big ways. Now, I feel ready for what’s next.
My mom’s name is Truong Nguyen Mai Thao. She is 40 years old and she is Vietnamese. She is a little chubby, but that just makes her hugs better. She is kind, caring, and always there for me. I love her a lot.
Every morning, my mom wakes up early to make breakfast. Even when she’s tired, she still makes sure I have food before school. Her cooking is really good. My favorite is her pho—it tastes better than any restaurant. She also makes yummy rice and noodles. She says she learned from her mom back in Vietnam.
My mom takes care of everything at home. She cleans, cooks, does the laundry, and still has time to help me with my homework. She never complains, even when she is busy or tired. She always says, “Family comes first.”
She is also realy loving. If I feel sad, she always knows. She sits with me, listens to me, and gives me hugs. Her hugs always make me feel better. She tells me that it’s okay to feel bad sometimes, but I have to keep trying. That helps me a lot.
My mom doesn’t wear a lot of makeup or fancy clothes. She likes being natural. She says being kind is more important than looking perfect. She also loves nature. Our house has a lot of plants. She waters them every day and talks to them like they are little kids. It’s funny, but also cute.
Sometimes we argue, like when I forget to do chores or don’t listen. But she never stays mad for long. She always explains things to me and helps me understand. She wants me to be a good person and do well in life. She tells me to work hard and always be honest.
She also tells funny stories about her childhood in Vietnam. Some are happy, some are sad, but they all help me understand her more. She had a hard life growing up, but she stayed strong. That makes me respect her even more.
To me, my mom is the best. She is not rich or famous, but she has a big heart. She gives so much love to me and our family. I hope I can be like her when I grow up. I want to be kind, strong, and caring, just like my mom.
I don’t always say it, but I really love her. She means the world to me.
Hi, my name is Sunny, and I am a student of Grade 6 from Vietnam. My first language is Vietnamese, also I've been learning English for some years now. To learn it is a thing that I do enjoy, but it's not always easy. German is just a new language I have been thinking about to learn lately. Even though I have a want to try, I have not yet started learning it.
I want to learn about German. It is of great interest to me regarding other countries and cultures, and that is the reason why. Germany seems like a tidy location. I’ve seen pictures of cities near Berlin and Munich. Those cities look nice. German gains interest because Austria and Switzerland speak it too.
German might be hard. This I know right away. The grammar differs from Vietnamese and from English also some words can look very long. I found out, for example, that nouns have genders such as das, der, and die. That is, in a way, kind of confusing. I believe I can learn it gradually piece by piece.
I think it's okay. Mistakes I make will happen early on. I made a lot of mistakes as well back when English started for me, but now I can speak and can write much better. Learning German enables interaction with more people in addition to traveling there and watching German movies without subtitles.
It is my hope that I can start to learn German soon. I feel quite excited to open up my mind to the world as well as try out something new.
Vinschool Golden River is a place I enjoy the time spent with my friends as well as with learning. Every day brings something new, such as a good laugh alongside the people around me or a fun class activity. School involves growth together as well as teamwork, friendship, and even lessons.
Mia, Johnny, Totti, Dave, Lyn, Amy, and also Lincoln are in my group of close friends. During the breaks, we often do talk, and we share fun, special moments, and we help each other out with the schoolwork. Being together does indeed make my days at school more exciting plus less stressful.
ESL in the school is a favorite subject of mine. I enjoy learning English because it helps me communicate better and understand more of the world. We read stories and write essays during ESL class. Speaking practice can also occur at that location. I like that the lessons are interesting. I find that they also can be creative. Games or videos we play and watch are sometimes fun ways we learn.
I once found English to be kind of tough. Now I feel with more confidence than before. My reading comprehension is much better along with my ability to write longer sentences and speak more clearly. During class, I always try my best and I’m proud of my progress.
My life has an important part called school. I'm glad that this environment supports me so helps me grow within. Vinschool Golden River does feel like a second home to me, with friends plus a subject that I enjoy. New things bring me excitement. I'll keep learning.
Why Darkness Manipulation is the Best Superpower
If I could choose any superpower, without a doubt, I would pick darkness manipulation. This power isn’t just about creating shadows; it’s about controlling and using darkness to do incredible things. With darkness manipulation, you could summon entire armies of shadow creatures, create massive walls of darkness, or even vanish into thin air. It’s a power that would make you unstoppable, and that’s why I believe it’s the best superpower.
One of the most amazing things about darkness manipulation is how it allows you to create and control entire armies of shadows. Imagine being able to summon creatures made entirely of darkness, like shadow soldiers, who would obey your every command. You could send these shadow soldiers to fight for you, defend your allies, or do anything else you need. These creatures would be nearly invisible and could strike without warning, making them terrifying opponents for anyone who dares to challenge you. With darkness manipulation, you could have an entire army at your fingertips, all without lifting a finger.
But that’s not all darkness manipulation can do. Another cool thing about this power is that you can use darkness to create shields and barriers that are nearly impossible to break through. If you’re ever in danger, you can surround yourself with a wall of pure darkness, protecting yourself from enemies. You could even trap your enemies in a prison of darkness, where they can’t escape. If you ever needed to hide or escape, darkness manipulation allows you to disappear into shadows, becoming invisible to everyone around you. It’s the perfect power for defense and stealth.
Now, let’s compare darkness manipulation to immortality. Immortality might sound great at first—living forever, never having to worry about aging or dying. But immortality comes with some serious problems. First, think about living forever while everyone you know gets older and eventually passes away. You’d watch your friends, family, and loved ones grow old, and over time, you’d feel completely alone. You might also get bored of living the same life forever. After thousands of years, everything would start to feel repetitive, and you’d long for something new.
On the other hand, darkness manipulation doesn’t have these problems. You don’t need to live forever to be powerful. With darkness, you can summon armies, create powerful shields, and control the battlefield. It’s a power that gives you an edge in every situation, and it doesn’t come with the loneliness or boredom that immortality brings. Instead of living forever, you’re using your power to make the most of every moment. Darkness is a force you can control, bend to your will, and use to protect yourself or defeat your enemies. It’s an exciting and dynamic power that doesn’t get old.
October, my birthday month, feels like the perfect time to think about darkness manipulation. October is filled with dark, mysterious nights, Halloween, and all things spooky. Darkness is everywhere during this time, and it’s easy to imagine using it to summon shadow creatures or hide in the dark. Halloween is all about embracing the unknown, and darkness manipulation is the ultimate way to control that unknown.
In conclusion, darkness manipulation is the best superpower because it gives you control over darkness, allowing you to summon armies, create shields, and disappear when needed. Unlike immortality, which could become lonely and boring, darkness manipulation keeps things exciting and full of possibilities. It’s a power that is always useful, no matter the situation. If I could choose any superpower, darkness manipulation would be the one because of its endless potential and power.
How I will enjoy the upcoming Tet celebration.
Tet is such a fun celebration! Everyone in my family looks forward to it, and it’s a big part of our culture. This year, I can’t wait to celebrate with my family and enjoy all the traditions. So, how do I celebrate Tet? Let me tell you!
I’ll be heading back to my hometown this Sunday. We plan to leave at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, and I’m so excited! We’ll get to the airport and go through security, which takes a little while, but it’s part of the process. Then, we board the plane and I’m always thrilled to fly—there’s something about being up in the air that makes me so happy!
We’ll land in Quang Nam around 8 o’clock in the evening and get to my grandparents’ house by about 9:30. It’s always such a special moment when I see them again. I love going on planes, and this day is going to be amazing!
On the second day of Tet, I wake up and start helping my family prepare breakfast. Now that I know a bit about cooking, it’s much easier than before—it’s actually a piece of cake! After we eat, we get ready for the big Tet feast. One of the main things we do is the ancestor remembrance ceremony, so I help my family with setting everything up and saying the prayers. It’s a special moment, and I feel proud to be a part of it.
After that, I spend time hanging out with my cousins. Even though they’re older than me, I still keep up with them! We play games and have fun until it’s time for dinner. The meal is always amazing, and we all sit together to enjoy it. It’s such a fun day !As the days go on, things get a bit more challenging. I help with the food prep more, but there are still lots of things I don’t know how to make! It’s tough, but it’s worth it because, in the end, it’s all about the food—and I absolutely LOVE FOOD!
We keep going until day 4, when the real feast begins. It’s officially the day of Tet, so we bring out all the food. And trust me, the table is packed with so many delicious dishes—it’s like a feast that could feed an army! Here’s what we have:
Gac sticky rice
Boiled chicken
Bánh Chung (traditional square sticky rice cakes)
Nuts and candied fruits
Bánh Tét (sticky rice cakes)
Pickled onions
Nem rán (crispy spring rolls)
Spring rolls
Stuffed bitter melon soup
Vietnamese sausages
Thịt kho trứng (braised pork with eggs)
Pihtije (a special meat dish)
Bamboo shoot soup
Dưa hành (pickled onions)
Nem chua (fermented pork)
Northern Vietnam's traditional meal
Braised pork with duck eggs
Caramelized pork and eggs
Chung cake (a special Tet cake)
Jellied pork
Mung bean cakes
Mứt Tết (candied fruits)
Xôi gấc (sticky rice with gac fruit)
The food is so much to handle that my brother will probably be in heaven with all the choices. After that beast of a feast (see what I did there with the rhyme?), I’ll go out and collect my lucky money. The neighborhood is full of people, and with so many houses to visit, my lucky money will definitely multiply—maybe even quadruplicate! I love Tet. It’s the best time of the year, full of family, food, and good fortune.
After the amazing Tet festival, I spend the last moments I have in my hometown just enjoying myself. The weather’s nice and cold, and I absolutely LOVE IT. HCMC is so FRICKIN HOT, man!!!!!!!!! It feels so good to take a break from the heat and just relax in the cool air. I’ll remember the delicious food, the laughter with my beautiful family, and all the memories that will come and go. Even though it’s tough to leave, I know these moments will stay with me, and I can’t wait to come back next year for more fun!
Da Lat trip.
Da lat is a very wonderful place for anyone to visit. The cold, the mountains, everything there is truly a spectacular landmark. Today I’m going to tell you all about my trip that I had there.
When we got there, we were in a bed bus and we were EXCITED. The atmosphere was cold and cool when we stepped out of the bus and it was exactly what I was looking for. We waited for a while and a smaller bus came to pick us up. We went to our hotel and waited for my mom’s friend, Tuan Anh. I’ll call him TA from now on. We got up in his room and one of the only things that I felt sad about this trip is that the hotel has no AC. I know it’s cold but no AC???! We arrived at about 5 AM and waited until about 6 and went to eat breakfast. After we destroyed the meal, we went on a rollercoaster ride. It was fun, too! It was wild but still a bit mild, and I had fun screaming. We also played a shooting game and I managed to shoot past a cap! After that fun trip, we had some bubble tea and went to eat at a fancy pizza restaurant. We then went home for the rest of the day.
Next morning, we went to a cafe and then went to a grass sliding place. IT WAS SO FUN, TOO! The breeze, the mild fun, everything was a pleasure. We ate lunch there and went to the GOD’S VALLEY. It was fun taking pictures and looking at moving dragons. I learned a lot about gods, too! We then got to a strawberry place and picked a lot of strawberries! IT WAS SOOOO YUMMY! But the best part was that we went to a spa! The hot water and the cold one, mmmmmmmmmm, so refreshing!
The next day was the final day, so we went for something chill and mild. We went for a chill ice cream and bubble tea at an avocado ice cream shop. The ice cream and bubble tea was yummy enough. We then went home and I wished we had a 3 day trip just like that one more time!

Reality warping is a fascinating superpower that any person would dream of possessing. I mean, just imagine being able to make you or anything bend or disappear within your power. With this incredible power, the possibilities would be unlimited. You could make objects float in midair, make new items out of pure air, or even teleport yourself to entirely different locations in the blink of an eye. This means that reality warping is far more superior than teleporting, shapeshifting or flying as you do it with this very power.
As a weak little human being, you might dream about all the naughty and hilarious ways you could use this superpower. You could prank your friends by making their clothes disappear, or transform the school into a smelly trash dump just for fun. The ability to make the laws of your world can boost your imagination and creativity. You could give yourself anything, grow giant dog-shark mutants in your backyard, or make your teacher across the classroom, making us laugh our pants off!
But “as great power comes great responsibilities” is true. Me, a 6th grader wielding reality warping abilities would need to be very careful not to cause too much utter destruction or self-harm. Accidentally ripping a worm-hole in the space time thingy could have consequences! So I’d have to learn to control my powers, perhaps through using it once a while. You might even use reality warping for good, like saving people from dangerous situations or helping to solve world problems: world hunger, poverty, …. The things that we can do with this very power, both funny and serious, are truly unimaginable for us.
Reality warping just as its own power is mind blowing. It opens up a world of endless possibilities, from the funny to the unthinkable and world-changing. With the right un-evil mind and responsible use of this incredible ability, a 6th grade reality-warper could truly do amazing things. (I think I made me too good)
Time Travelling with a Tortoise…
To keep up with the second sequel of the original story, Time Travelling with a Hamster, Al Chaudhery went back in time to save his dad from his death, as he was a walking time bomb and was bound to die. He travelled through the dimension of space time itself, and reached a new timeline where he, and his family, were alive and together.
Now, back to this book. Al’s dad was back and alive, yet something was not right. His dad was not a computer freak anymore, he was a… animal freak. He was on an adventure to the WHA, World Hamster Association. Meanwhile, Al met his former step-sister, Carly Fowler, who was his step-sister back on the old timeline. Al has mistakenly sent her a picture of her and him doing the time travelling on a photo. Carly called him a creep, but when she saw his half not working time machine, she believed him. On his way back from his old school, Al went back to his Grandfather’s tuk-tuk (which is just a golf car) and crashed into a wall, not hitting an unfortunate cat. Al is lucky, just falling on his head on a pile of grass. His grandfather was ill-fated, hitting his head stone cold on a wall, ending in the hospital. Al was left in ruins, thinking that it was HIS fault not kitting the cat, ending in this dumb situation. When Al faithfully went with Carly to go meet his Grandfather, he LIT UP and got out of the hospital bed and ran back to his own house. He then said to Al: “Go into your time machine and get back my old memory, bud!”. Al’s grandpa has lost his memory and it was up to Al. Too much responsibility for an 11 year old, Al didn’t know what to do. So he just played the wildcard, using his grandpa’s own handwritten, Indian letter to tell him not to fall down and lost his “memory palace”. Al, Carly and his so-called friend Paulie were time travelling to 1968, where he had his best memory. But the time machine malfunctioned at the last minute, leading them to a path of terror, devastation and…. Dinosaurs. They both drove the Tuk-Tuk, hanging for dear life when Paulie fell off right when they went back in space time. Police came looking for poor Paulie, but all was lost. Al decided to do it all again, with a tortoise he had when he was in the dinosaur’s world. His dad said do not bring any organism from time away but did he care? Non. But it turns out, his dad was right! He met his doppelganger, in which Carly said: “Wassup, Step-bro-space-time-doppel-twin?”. He was in a time where Grandpa Byron was dead from the tuk-tuk incident. It seems nothing could be right, so he decided to go back to dinosaur time to save Paulie. (P.S grandpa Byron got his memory back suddenly, they got the letter back) But the save was not good enough as everyone got injured. Al got knocked out, unconscious, but waking up he was in a timeline just like his normal-normal one, the one before he even time travelled, yet no one seemed to know. Space-time itself got the last laugh, it truly has omnipotence! Everything seemed bad, yet somehow it seemed normal. Life was back!
Time stopping - the best power to ever have
You might be wondering, how could time stopping be ever so helpful? Well, that’s where you need a brain check. You could do basically anything with it. Name one, and do it right away. As a 6th grader who loves football myself, time stopping could be helpful. When the opponent is shooting, simply stop time and get back the ball! When I am on the field, running with the ball in my foot, dodging tackles and scoring bangers, everything else in the world fades away. I’m in the zone. I am in my own world, doing what I love most, and I can’t stop as I’m in the “zone”. If time could stop during those thrilling moments, I would never have to worry about the game coming to an end or having to go back to reality.
The feeling of stopping time itself while playing football is a dream that I believe all professional football players share. In those frozen moments, I can bask in the joy of victory or learn from defeat without worrying time stopping or not having enough time to win. I can perfect my dribbling, improve my footwork, and strategize with my teammates without the suspension of time limits. The ability to halt time to a stop would allow me to bathe in every second on the field, soaking in the sounds of the crowd, the delicious smell of victory (or revenge haha), and the exhilarating rush of excitement that comes with every play.
Even though stopping time may only be a fantasy, when it does come true, you can make your dream come true! Make a business, eat how much you want, without the fear of anyone seeing you. Dream come true!
Despicable Me 4
Just last Saturday, my friends and my moms friends all came together for a great movie Despicable Me 4. This movie is loaded with awesome fight scenes that will blow your mind. Everyone was laughing so hard milk could go off their nose while they weren’t drinking it. Let me tell you all the adventure this movie gives you with humour, action, and family fun!
The movie starts with Gru, the former villain turned hero by his wife, Lucy and their adopted children, while having a real baby named Gru Jr, faced his new enemy and challenge. A new insect-like-villain, Maxime Le Mal, vowed to destroy Gru because he “stole” his song in the 9th grade talent show. He uses insects in his power along with his girlfriend, Valentina. Gru knows he has to step up and save his family once and for all. With his trusty Minions by his side, he sets out to stop Maxime Le Mal (real hard name there) and his insect plans.
One of the most intense fight scenes in the movie is when Gru and a neighbour's daughter steal a honey badger from his old school. The battle is fierce, with lasers firing and robots clashing. He also runs from the pet’s owner, the principal, in a robot wheelchair. Gru shows off his ninja moves, dodging attacks and using his baby stuff to outsmart the principal;. The Minions and Poppy (neighbours daughter) join in the action, causing chaos and bringing their unique brand of funniness to the fight. They eventually escaped.
As the group returns home, Gru meets Maxime and has an epic and funny showdown. On his return, the principal meets Gru at his house and ambushes him. His whole family had to help and in the end, destroyed the principal. But Gru Jr has been kidnapped! Maxime has the baby and named him Maxime Jr (I laughed so hard) Gru becomes Dad mode and meets Maxime at a construction building to fight. But Gru Jr had become Insectified! The battle becomes a 2v1 as Gru Jr now has to listen to everything the devious villain says. But Gru Jr remains conscious, and helps his dad defeat the villain once and for all.
The movie ends with a song, “Everybody wants to rule the world” and the people of the “prison” celebrate the thrilling song sung by Gru and Maxime Le Mal.
I loved this movie as it’s a classic and will be sure to watch the newest one to become!
My favourite job: Astronaut
My favourite job: Astronaut
My favourite job has always been an astronaut. Today, I will talk about this curious and adventurous dream job of mine. My dream job is to be an astronaut. Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated by space. The stars, the planets, and the moon all seem so magical to me. I was also named after the sun, hence I was called Sunny. I love watching videos of astronauts floating in space and walking on the moon. It looks like so much fun, and I want to experience it too. Just bouncing around with no gravity was so fun as I was always a little squirmy and jumpy (okay, maybe a LOT). Being an astronaut is not just fun, it is also very important. Astronauts get to explore space and learn new things about our solar system, maybe even the universe! They do a lot of fancy experiments that can help humanity understand how things work in space and even find ways to make life better on Earth (I loved this idea the most!). For example, astronauts study how to grow plants in space.I learned this from National Geographic 2024 in my home and I was so fascinated!. This can later help us when things are going down to grow food for our kind! To become an astronaut, I know I have to work very hard in school. I need to be good at maths and science or even physics and a PhD later on (I think it’s a professor's degree). I also need to stay strong and muscular because astronauts have to pass a lot of tough dizziness and physical tests. One day, I hope to go to college and study something like engineering, astronomy or physics. This will help me learn the skills I need to become an astronaut. I also look up to astronauts like Neil Armstrong, the first astronaut on the moon.(Fun Fact: His name is Neil Armstrong, Neil.A backwards is alien) He was smart and Google said he had an IQ of 139, higher than most! In conclusion, my dream job is to be an astronaut. I want to explore space, do fancy and important experiments, and maybe one day, walk on the moon or even Mars. I know it will take a lot of hard work, but I am smart and brave like my mom always says. I will work hard to achieve this dream!
KUNG FU PANDA!
I watched "Kung Fu Panda 4" a few months ago, and it was really good! The movie was a lot of fun and had many action scenes. Po, the panda, is still my favourite character throughout the 3 series. He is funny (and VERY, VERY fat) and always finds a way to save the day, even when things are not looking good for him.In this movie, Po has to face a new villian who is very strong. The bad guy, a chameleon, wants to take over the world with his magic powers, to shapeshift, and it's up to Po and his friends to stop him.
One of the best battles that Po fought was when Po and his friends fought the chameleon for the first time. The chameleon used his shapeshifting powers to turn into different animals, all which Po and his friends fought with, which made it really hard for Po and his team to fight him. The battle took place in a fake dark forest, and the chameleon kept hiding and attacking from the shadows. Po had to use his quick thinking and kung fu skills to keep up with the chameleon’s tricks and eventually, the chameleon got bored and turned into the Dragon Warrior, PO! I laughed so hard when that happened as he actually said that. But he was too cocky and didn’t even transform when Po easily defeated him. Another great battle was when Po fought the chameleon one-on-one in the middle of a busy street in the village. The chameleon turned into a giant dragon, and Po had to use everything he had learned to fight back. The fight was intense, with Po dodging fire blasts and using his strength to knock the chameleon down. With the help of his friends, Po was able to outsmart the chameleon and save the day.The final battle was the most epic. Po and his team faced the chameleon in his lair, which was filled with traps and obstacles. The chameleon used his powers to create illusions, making it hard for Po and his friends to know what was real. But Po, being brave, led his friends through the traps and finally cornered the chameleon. The battle was tough, but Po and his friends worked together and used their kung fu skills to defeat the chameleon once and for all. There were many exciting fights, and I liked how Po used his kung fu skills. The battles were intense and kept me interested. The animation was very good, and the colours were bright and made everything look nice. The way the characters moved and fought seemed real, and it felt like I was right there with them.I also liked the message of the movie. It showed that even if things get tough, you should never give up and always believe in yourself. Po had to learn some new things and work very hard, but he never gave up. He showed that with determination and the help of friends, you can overcome any problem. It was amazing to see how Po grew as a character and became better. The movie also had many funny moments. Po's clumsiness and jokes always made me laugh. His friends, like Tigress and Monkey, were also cool and had their moments to shine. The movie did a good job of making humour balance with action, and it kept me entertained the whole time.
Overall, "Kung Fu Panda 4" was a great movie. It was funny, exciting, and had a good lesson. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
Migration 2024 - the movie with ducks and adventure…
The movie "Migration 2024" is an adventure that follows the journey of a family of ducks, the Mallards. They live in a beautiful pond in New England (I searched it), where Mack, the father of the Mallard family , is extremely overprotective. Mack’s wife, Pam, is the adventurous one, always trying to go somewhere while Mack, still being overprotective, disagrees every time! Their children, Dax and Gwen, are curious and excited about exploring the world beyond their “boring” pond. One day, a flock of ducks came by their pond and told them to go with them to Jamaica. Pam and her children were delighted by the idea, but Mack, being Mack, says NO. Pam suggests that the family go on a vacation to Jamaica, but Mack resists the idea because he is worried about the dangers they might face. However, after much persuasion from Pam and the kids, (and not wanting to become like Uncle Dan), Mack surrenders and agrees to go on the journey. This decision marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure. (Spoiler: Mack loves it at the end) The family sets off on their migration, travelling through various places, including the bustling and chaotic New York City. Along the way, they encounter a variety of birds and animals. Some of these characters become their friends, like the pigeon leader and Delroy and help them navigate Jamaica and unfamiliar territories. For instance, they meet a group of street-smart pigeons who teach them some survival tricks and help them find food in the city. Throughout their journey, the Mallards face numerous challenges and obstacles. They have funny and thrilling moments, such as when they get chased by a heron, which doesn’t eat them but has them sleep over at their house ,adding a bit of danger to their trip. These experiences are both terrifying and exciting for the Mallards, especially for Mack, who learns to face his fears. Despite the difficulties, the family grows closer and learns valuable lessons. The journey teaches Mack that sometimes, taking risks is needed to experience life fully and create memories with loved ones forever. By the time they reach Jamaica, they have been chased by Delroy’s owner, a chef, and met countless flocks. They are exhausted but excited too! They enjoy the beauty and warmth of Jamaica, making their vacation memorable. The movie concludes with the Mallards preparing to return to their pond. But a colony of lost penguins find their way to them, so the Mallards go on a journey to Antarctica (Mack decided with no hesitation).! They are changed by their experiences, with Mack becoming more open to adventure and Pam, Dax, and Gwen appreciating the joys of exploring new places. I love this movie. Easily a top 3 movie for me!
We last watched a spectacular movie in Vivo. Made by Pixar Films, this new and “currently” No.1 movie, Inside Out 2, had lasted out widely throughout 6 continents, a truly edge-of-seat-film.
Inside Out 2 truly left me and my family speechless (or more truly, my dad left early) Featuring old characters from the original film, Inside Out in 2015, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust. All of them make the character who they control, Riley, a more emotional and good person.
In this new and improved movie, new feelings arrive, Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment and Bored. Anxiety admires Joy but has to push her out of the tube for “maybe after his plan is done, or a few months, or forever”. Anxiety quickly developed a new plan, making Riley into her new hockey camp “successfully”. Meanwhile, the original emotions find their long, hard way to reach the “self recognition” and bring it back to Headquarters. Anxiety loses control of herself and even damages Riley for the “expected better future”. Sadness then climbs a really long tube to headquarters and even convinces Embarrassment to keep quiet of seeing her, and he agrees! Joy and the other emotions eventually find her way up to Headquarters, when Anxiety loses her mind for her plan and becomes a tornado doing everything at once, “Expecting a better future”. Joy pushes all her might to get to Anxiety and make her stop, when a new self esteem grows, managing all the emotions to make a respected, better Riley. Anxiety stops, and Riley wins her match in the Hockey Academy League. The ending is quite surprising as Riley and her friends look at her scores whenever she goes to the Academy or not. It ends there.
This is a very entertaining and amazing movie, and it will go down as the best movie ever in my opinion.
My dad absolutely HATES shorts. Although I can understand, sometimes it leaves me clueless. I need little entertainment to brighten my day! It’s not an addiction, but a little fun. I can stand NOT having it, but that doesn’t mean I get no entertainment! Some reasons that my dad hates shorts is because he says it’s “addition” and “memory swiping”. Hold on a second, addiction I understand (although I explained already) I can not have it BUT I still need entertainment. But memory swiping?! First of all, Youtube Shorts show us endless amounts of content, diversely through all groups. We see a lot of learning, too! My dad specifically said, “Subscribe to Ted-Ed!” and that’s the 40% of shorts I see! Ted-Ed provides endless and entertaining videos and shorts. I also have responsibility! It’s not that I’m 2, but at least give me a chance! I’m turning 11, and that’s a lot for me to handle. I have more responsibilities for being a big brother, to study and many more. Because of that, I need a little thing to brighten my life, that doesn’t ruin it. Of all that amount, one more responsibility doesn’t hurt! See dad, I understand that you care for me, but sometimes I need a little entertainment AND I’m going to be a 6th grader, so have some faith!
For me, I love youtube shorts because they show a lot of fun, short videos which compact things together, having a bonus to quick learning! Endless content, helping me in my growing days in life. Never do I watch things that my dad calls “nonsense” because I know what’s good for me! Learning content invades over 70% of my daily watch basis and I learn good tips, tricks and methods from it! Like my dad watches it on Facebook Reels, I can too. I’ve learned some very good tips and tricks. Also, some videos that I like can be REALLY long (Preferably 33 minutes) which I don’t like watching. Real slow, and time consuming. Shorts prefer bite-size content that I can swallow, compacting easier methods to learn! There's less than 60 seconds, fun for everyone. I don’t find it memory swiping because I mostly remember educational videos that I watch. Also, Shorts cover a wide range of topics , from comedy to DIY projects, cooking recipes, science experiments, … All brief amounts under 60 seconds!
Youtube shorts have helped me a lot through my friendliness, my anger issue, my shouting issue…. They have all been helped by Shorts, providing why I get calmer and finding more friends. After all, they give me more entertainment and help me with life hacks and tricks. Though I can withstand NOT having it for a while, and as I have said, entertainment is key! I hope, dad, with all my help persuading and providing you facts and reasons why you should let me continue, is true to my word. Please dad, give me one last chance…
Hello everyone, My name is Sunny and today I’m going to make a debate based on the topic should school hours be shorter as the first affirmative speaker. Based on my World Scholar’s Cup performance, I’m proud!
Good afternoon, honourable judges, respected opponents, and my fellow teammates. Today, we gather to address an issue in education: whether school hours should be shortened to better the needs of students. I stand by in support of reducing school hours. My speech consists of 3 main points:
Impact of long school days
Benefits of shorter school hours
Supporting healthier lifestyles.
Long school days place a significant stress on students, affecting their mental health and physical overall. From elementary to high school, students spend hours in classrooms, studying until their brains drop and experience extreme torture as of stress and long studying hours. These mind-numbingly long hours not only strain their ability to focus but also limit time for essential activities such as rest, leisure, and family interactions. Talk about no physical activity! I’d rather play games and do better.
Research tells us about the negative impacts of extended school hours on students. Increased stress, anxiety, and mental health are common in most, often damaging both their health and academic performance. The pressure to study day and night destroys their personal growth and well-being, leaving little room for sports or hobbies.
Calling out for shorter school hours is a call for a more balanced and sustainable approach. This solution not only solves the stress, but continues to make their studies better. Shorter school hours can create more focused and productive learning classes. Students are likely to exhibit higher levels of focus and activeness in the classroom, as they can go deeper into subjects without the exhaustion of long and boring concentration. This focused learning environment not only develop academic achievement but also a deeper appreciation for the learning process itself. I would LOVE it if my school did that!
Moreover, shorter school hours support a healthier lifestyle for students. With more time outside of school, students can do activities, sports, hobbies, and other interests that make their personal growth develop.
To conclude, longer school hours affect students both physically and mentally. As of what I told you, our team will win. I rest my case.
My Son Tower in Vietnam is the most ancient and mysterious tower I have ever seen! It's in my hometown, in Quang Nam, which is awesome because I get to see it all the time! Well, not ALL the time but It’s still close to my house. In this essay, you’re gonna know all about it and some fun facts, too!
First off, let's talk about where it is. My Son Tower is in Vietnam, which is a really nice country in Southeast Asia. And it’s also the place I was born in. But the coolest part is that it's in my hometown! That means I can visit it whenever I want. It's like having an ancient and old historical site right in my backyard! That’s kinda true though!
Now, let's dive into how it's made. Credits to Google, where I found most of it. I got some facts that I never knew too! I hope you find some too! My Son Tower is actually a group of ancient Hindu temples. They were built a long, long time ago by the Champa people. If you don’t know who the Champa people are, it’s basically an old tribe long, long ago who ruled over the Central and Southern part of what is called Vietnam now. They didn't use any fancy machines like we have today. Instead, they stacked bricks on top of each other by hand! Can you imagine how much work that must have been? And it took them likely CENTURIES! I’m just 11 and that’s long for ME! It's amazing to think about how people back then were able to build something so big without all the technology we have now. Maybe aliens did it. Like the pyramids. Who knows?
Okay, time for some fun facts! Did you know that My Son Tower is over 1,000 years old? That's older than my great-great-grandma! And even though it's really old, it still looks super cool. The temples are decorated with all sorts of sparkling patterns and sculptures. Plus, there's a really cool story behind it. Some people say that the temples were built for the Hindu god Shiva. Maybe the Hindu God Shiva IS an alien. Matters beside, that's still pretty awesome! Another fun fact is that My Son Tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That means it's really important and special to people all around the world. UNESCO is also SUPER popular, and it has connections with the pyramid of Giza to the Great Wall of China! People come from all over to visit it and learn about its history. It's like a super famous celebrity, but for historical buildings! AND it’s in my hometown. It’s like having an untalkable celebrity friend.
In conclusion, My Son Tower in Vietnam is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been. It's in my hometown, it was built by stacking bricks by hand, it's over 1,000 years old, and it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What more could you need? If you ever get the chance to visit Vietnam, you definitely need to check out My Son Tower. It's like hanging out with a celebrity.
529 words. WOO!
In my family, everyone has a favourite food. My mom goes absolutely crazy for coconut and Vietnamese traditional food, my dad's favourite is a mystery (maybe one day he'll spill the beans and tell me but for now, it’s pho, I think), my brother Lucas is all about pizza, and he literally went NUTS for it, and he actually ate a BUNCH of nuts and as for me, I’m all in for French fries! Now, I know you might be thinking, "French fries? Really?" But let me tell you, there's more to know about these so-called “French” fries. (Spoiler: There’s a lot of facts!)
First things first, let's talk about history. Did you know that French fries were actually from Belgium, not France? Don’t believe the stupid so-called”French”, it’s called chips in other places. They've been around for centuries, and people have been enjoying them for just as long. But here's the thing - they're made from potatoes, which are technically vegetables. So, mom, It’s not unhealthy. I feel like I'm being healthy when I eat them anyways . But my mom always insists they're fast food because you can find them at places like McDonald's, KFC, and Pizza Hut. I guess it IS a little bit unhealthy, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying every crispy bite! Yum Yum YUM!
Speaking of McDonald's, they're famous for their French fries. I mean, who hasn't demolished a box of heavenly potato goodness from the Red Devils?(No, It's not Manchester United) But it's not just McDonald's that serves them up. French fries are practically everywhere! After the year 2000, they started popping up on menus all over the place. It's like they became the superstar of the food world overnight. Go in a random direction and meet a fast food restaurant, and I dare you to NOT see french Fries there.
Don’t die…but- there's even a museum dedicated to French fries! Can you believe it? I sure couldn't when I first heard about it. Walking through a museum filled with glasses all about your favourite food. It sounds like a dream come true! I think it would be pretty cool to have a museum dedicated to me one day. I can dream, right? There will be a statue of me eating the delicious French fries, and gobbling all of them up!
Here’s a fun fact I found on Google - did you know there was once a French fry that was taller than me? Yeah, you heard that right! It was like the LeBron James of French fries. I can only imagine how long it took to fry up that giant potato. One day, I’ll eat it up. But one thing I learned from eating French Fries, it's that when it comes to French fries, anything is possible. Smallest to Largest, Widest to Thinnest, Spiciest to Drippiest, French Fries is the origin of vegetable-like food.
So yeah, you could say I'm a pretty big fan of French fries. They're not just a snack, they're a part of my life. From their small beginnings in Belgium to their global domination, French fries have truly earned their place in the hall of fame.Like Pele and Messi-my idols. And who knows, maybe one day I'll even go to that French fry museum myself. I wonder if that giant french fry is still there. Maybe I’ll eat it!

When it comes to my birthday, I will be a bit Greedy sometimes. I would like some Beyblades, Exploding Kittens, Nerf Guns, Board games, … But there was only one thing Mom said that caught my attention, HAVING A PET!!!!!!!!!!! I always wanted a pet since my pet dog went to her mom at MY age of 2! But that’s for later. I wanted my cake to be strawberry, and to celebrate with all my October friends at somewhere like Landmark 81 or travel to Da Lat or somewhere else. My idea is everyone, and I mean EVERYONE would give their presents from 1-3 presents EACH!!! Now onto my pets. In the first few days, I wanted a turtle because now, having a turtle doesn’t need a lot of responsibility. That’s when I learned we need a POOL and the right temperature. So now I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted a male hamster. First, a hamster is very cute and cuddly. Secondly I think it DOESN'T breed like a female hamster, which breeds in a few hours and between 4-6 BABIES. Now I calculated, and it is around 84 BABIES IN A SINGLE DAY!!!! That’s why I like male hamsters. I really want my birthday to come very soon and it’s 30/10, next month!!!
What would I be if I was an animal for a day
There will be a lot of animals that I want to be, but I would want to be a Lion. A lion is called The king of the forest, which I want to be. If animals could talk, I would order them to bring food, dance for me, and do everything for me!! I would hunt animals so I could eat meat EVERYDAY, I would be endangered I think, so if I saw zookeepers as good persons I would live a happy, happy life as an endangered species.
Another animal that I would want to be is a pigeon. A pigeon could fly in the sky, while landing on wires and look at the beautiful view of the sky.
I absolutely LOVE BEING AN ANIMAL!!!
My favourite Animal
I have many favourite animals. I will tell you about all of them. My first favourite animal is, very surprisingly, A LION. I think it is very handsome, vicious and basically everything that represents me. I would love to be a king of something so the “King of the Forest (Jungle, Rainforests, Swamp, … basically anything). I am not much of a vegetable eater, or a vegetarian whatever THAT means so eating meat everyday is AMAZING for me (I would also have a very BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG GIGANTIC BRAIN so I will eat COOKED meat, not RAW). The next favourite animal that I like is a hamster. Firstly, everyone knows that Hamsters are incredibly CUTE!!!! My mom is actually going to BUY ME a hamster on MY BIRTHDAY!!!! We already have names. If it’s fluffy, then the name “FLUFFY” will be great. If it’s white all over, then “Snowy will be alright. But my favourite because it can be named for ANY and I mean ANY kind of hamster, “Whiskers”. We will buy a Male hamster because according to my calculations, a female hamster breeds every few dozen MINUTES. I love animals!!!!!!!
Is reading a book better than watching TV??
Preposition:
Hi my name is Sunny and today I will tell you the benefits of reading.
When you read a book, you get to create an ADVENTURE!!! Like reading Harry Potter, you can imagine a world of magic and spells. But watching TV means that they show you the screen, so you don’t have to imagine. Books have A LOT of words, so you can learn new vocabulary. While watching TV shows you use much simpler words. Reading is like a break for your brain. It's very quiet and relaxing, and it doesn't have the loud sounds and lights that the TV has. Books also teach you about the topics you choose, like Science, ESL, Math, … so it helps you a lot in school. So in conclusion, reading a book is both good for your eyes and brain. And watching TV is the opposite. BYE!!
HOMEWORK SHOULD BE BANNED!!!
Hello everyone, today I will tell you why doing your homework must be banned. Firstly, homework should be banned because a LOT of people get stressed just from having homework. Scientists say it results in Stress, eye pain, Loss of concentration and sleep, … Secondly, we are Kids. We need to have FREE TIME!!! We have to play and studying makes our brains hurt. Thirdly, I think that learning 8 HOURS in school is already WAY TOO MUCH. I mean, there are places that teach for 5 HOURS!!! And then, I think homework is useless. If the teacher says we do them to revise ourselves, then we could do that IN school. Next, I think it makes us more nervous. We will be very scared of doing the right or wrong. Finally, Doing homework can make us angry. We will always focused on homework and not enough for others.
Should smoking be banned?
We believe that smoking is banned.
My first point is education
Rather than ban smoking, I think we should do a global presentation on Websites to teach the risks of smoking. I believe if we understand the risks we shouldn't do it.
My second point is better products
First, people who just started smoking could go on to other stress relievers like reading or watching TV. For people who used it and can’t live without it, they could use better products like e-cigarettes.
My third point is health risks:
As all of you would know, smoking results in many different risks like: Cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema and chronic bronchitis, tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis, and finally death.
In conclusion, people should Not smoke, or if they need drugs and like I said, using e-cigarettes or reading. Thank you.
Is Digital technology making children's lives better?
Hello everyone, my name is Sunny and today I am going to debate about whether digital technology is making our children's lives better.
One of my points is convenience: Digital technology makes many things more convenient, such as online shopping, video meetings, and accessing information. It can save time and make our lives easier.
My second point is education: Digital technology has transformed the way we learn. We can take online classes, use educational apps, and learn new skills through tutorials.
My third point is about communication: Unless your technology is not good, you can communicate with other people and discuss using meetings, calls, videos, …
My final point is about Time management: In the old days like my dad and mom said, they didn’t have technology. So they did work by hand. And trust me, they had to take a few nights of Just to finish ONE paper. Nowadays, we can access Google Docs, Excel, Youtube, Facebook, Tik Tok, …
In conclusion, you may think that technology is bad for our eyes but if we use them correctly, we can play with our friends AND still do our work in time. UwU
Are dogs better than cats? The debate by Sunny Nhat Minh
Ladies and gentlemen, today I will argue that dogs are better than cats. I know both sides will have different statements, but I will only provide the advantages as well as disadvantages of having both cats and dogs.
My first reason is Loyalty and Trust:
As a saying, “Dogs is man’s best friend”, is the perfect quote for this sentence. A dog can be friends with you as quickly as a few hours! Then, after a few days, it will also gain your trust, too. Once it befriends you, it will stay with you forever, in your heart as well as your life. Cats, on the other hand, are harder to gain your trust due to the fact that they always wander and jump at high places.
My second reason is Protection and Security:
Dogs, when befriending you, will always, Always, protect you. People know that, and in Egyptian times, they used dogs as guards and the saying, “Beware of the dog”. Nowadays, we use dogs for Security! Cats, on the other hand, are useless on protecting and even if it befriends you, it wouldn’t mind to protect anybody. Nobody says, “Beware of the cats”.
My third reason is Assistance Animals:
Dogs are top 1 in assisting pets. The guide dogs for the blind, the hearing dogs for the deaf and the service dogs for the disabled. Cats aren’t used for this because they are small and selfish.
My final reason is health:
Researchers show that playing, or at least reading with your dog, increases as much as 85% of your health!!! Scientists show that 78% of children find playing with your dog relaxing and calming, which they say help with depression and anxiety. They also say that Reading to your dog helps improve your brain and health by a stunning 85% (85% in brain power, 70% in health)!!
In conclusion, Dogs have benefits as well as disadvantages like diseases, bites, … And cats have too. For example, soft fur but easy to bite and diseases. Every pet has their own advantages as well as disadvantages. But dogs, as “Man's best friend”, are one of the best pets ever in history.
Is living alone better than with plenty of family?
Is living alone better than with plenty of family? Debate by Sunny Nhat Minh
Ladies and gentlemen, today I am going to argue about whenever living alone or with plenty of family is better. I will support the family side, and I will give the advantages as well as the disadvantages of living with family and/or alone.
My first point is about support:
Living with your family can give you plenty of support. Your mom or dad can encourage you to do more stuff. Playing with your brother and sister can be a challenge but always Fun!
My second point is about friends and family:
Living in a family will help you with depression or anxiety. In school, friends also give you an opinion of living with them! And hanging out with family and friends is the best!!! You can play and hangout with friends and not worry about strangers if you live alone.
My third point is about healthy habits:
If you live with your family, they will give you enough nutrients and vitamins for your meal. You won’t need to worry about money like living alone which researchers say can lead to drugs, unhealthy habits and worse of all, DEATH.
My final point is facilities:
Having a home is the best of all in your life. If you go adventure the world alone, you won’t have a home and will need lots and lots of money from your parents. If you live with your family, you have a free home, free meals, free clothes and free companions!!!
In conclusion, living with your family can be the best there ever is. Based on the advantages above, family is the most important thing in life. Nothing can stand to it
My Tet holiday in the recent days (6 days) I had a LOT of fun! With BlackJack, Fish-Prawn-Crab, Scratch Cards, … and I will tell all you guys all about it! So, LET’S GET STARTED! On the First Day of Lunar New Year, I woke up REALLY late, at a mindblowing 9:30 AM! I felt tired, so I helped myself to my delicious, taste sensational and beautifully done Pancakes! After my sensational breakfast, I went to my fathers family and ate appetising pieces of french fries and chicken rolled with seaweed. I also got a lot of lucky money! After that, I went to my mothers uncle and ate delectable Quang Noodles. I also got a mouthwatering Ginger Jam that I always LOVED! We went home after all the free food that we had. On the Second day of the Lunar New Year, we slumped in our home ALL day and played BlackJack, Scratch Cards, Flag Seahorses, … and I got a bunch of money too! When dusk came, we went to eat a succulent and lucious Taiwanese HotPot (A.K.A Manwah)! After the tasteful dinner, I went up 1 kilogram! On the third day of the Lunar New Year, we went to take pictures with beautiful flowers in Crescent Mall and also got a floating dragon and a bubble frog! In the afternoon, we went to a waterpark and had lots of fun! There were bubble slides, wave pools, sliding pools, …. When we got home, I slept right away. 0n the Fourth Day, we only went to Fahasa, a bookstore and bought books! Yesterday, we actually went to my friend's house in the evening to play cards and Fish-Prawn-Crab! We also had a tasteful dinner with lots and lots and lots of food! I sure wish we could have a Tet holiday like that in the upcoming years
On Monday, I learned a LOT about my second most favourite natural disaster (I think you already know by the Title) EARTHQUAKES!!! We learned how to protect ourselves when earthquakes come, new creative design ideas, simple poster designs, … First, we heard a podcast on how to protect ourselves. I wrote quickly, my ears on 1000% focusing mode, and wrote these ideas down: Act quickly, stay under a strong table, if outside, DON’T GO INSIDE, a lot of people got injured this way, if in bed, cover your head with a pillow and hide under the table, … And Ms.Nikki said we will design a poster about it. First, it needs to be simple, big and short letters (cause who will read it if it's long anyway)and ABSOLUTELY, 100% NEEDS TO BE creative. So I found someone to partner up with: my understanding underdog, KEN! But I mostly did 75% of the job and Ken 25%. It was FUN actually! We had to draw big stickmans, big letters, and I wasted 2 papers just designing the title. We used Normal but BIG letters instead. The teacher even complimented me! But when I was still on the 3rd safety rule (We needed 6) there were 2 minutes left. So I zoomed through all of it, so don't ask me if my last 3rd was disgusting (I mean, I drew an angry table and I feel weird about it, and I never do that)! So that was my Monday and I felt good, how about yours?
Have you ever wondered HOW IN THE TOAD KICK does volcanoes work? Or HOW IN THE LEMONADE PIZZA TOAST LUNCH do we protect ourselves from such a horrifying and hot natural disaster? I will tell you all of that and more! First, how DO volcanoes work? Deep inside the earth's crust, some rocks become SO hot that it begins to melt in a thich flowing substance called magma! It comes in magma chambers, in volcanoes, and begins to flow up. Eventually, the magma overflows and up to the surface, when magma is up in the surface, it's called lava. But that’s not why it's terrifying. The danger it has when it erupts can go up to over 2000 KM WORLDWIDE! But the truly most terrifying, spine-chilling, frightening, alarming, horrifying volcanic eruption is the Mount Tambora volcano in Indonesia. It killed from 71,000 to over 250,000 people!!! It happened on April 5, 1815, with tremors and flows. Tambora blasted 12 cubic miles of gases, dust and rock into the atmosphere and onto the island of Sumbawa and the area around it. Rivers of ash poured down the mountain and burned grasslands and forests. THe blast, tsunamis, ash flows, mudslides,... led to the death of at least 10.000 people and those who survived died of starvation as there was nowhere to escape. The explosion alone was heard over 1400 Km away. It dropped the global temperature and the whole SouthEast Asia experienced darkness for a week. The explosion even reduced Mount Tambora! I felt SO SAD and I will try to write more about it in the future. BYE!
Hello everyone, today I will talk to you all about Technology! First, I want to talk about the WORLD WIDE WEB also known as THE INTERNET!! The internet is an infinite sea of knowledge and cat videos! I like to play games, learn, and much, much, MUCH MORE. And we have to talk about video games! Video games are like awesome adventures on your screen. They're not just games, they're like magical lands where you can be a hero, solve puzzles, and explore cool places. Just by sitting on a chair with a metal screen on your face, you can explore the unimaginable wonders of the INTERNET. Not just games, we amazing human beings created VR! Virtual Reality that can make you feel like a superhero! Apple Vision Pro is amazing, too! (It’s 3000$ by the way) Not only that, if your a book addict, you can watch spectacular and amazing EBooks! (Stops you from becoming a nerd) It has every kind of book and more! Remember, tech is always amazing, and there's always something new and exciting to discover in our world. So, whether it's robots, VR, or e-books, each piece of tech brings a little piece of magic to our world!
Making A PANCAKE!!!
In today’s essay, I will tell you all about my own recipe for making delicious, appetising, scrumptious, yummy and lip-smacking pancakes. So, let’s get started into the yum yum recipes!!! First, put the pancake powder into a bowl. Remember to put half for 5-7 pancakes and all of the powder for 10-12 pancakes! Secondly, put water into the powder. DO NOT put a whole cup into it. Just a couple teaspoons of water will be enough. Next, mix it. Mix it hard and rough. If you feel it’s too thick then add a smidge of water. It's too easy to mix then put some water in it. Step forward, stir it and pour it into a spoon. Then, pour the mixture into the hot pan and remember to put it in circles. You could make it big, wide, thick, thin, small, humongous, tiny, … After that, flip all of those pancakes over. You could like them a little raw but I like them a little burnt. Crispy, crunchy pancakes make me drool like a madman already! Then, put the pancakes out onto a plate. If you're like me, I eat them with jam and honey. Putting the pancakes and dipping them into the sweet sauce makes me hungry and drooling! That’s all for now. Wish y’all been drooling like me! BYE!
Making Toast!
The BEST breakfast without sauces or anything is the one and only TOAST! Making toast may seem like a simple task, but it’s DIFFICULT. I’ll tell you about today's essay. Let’s go! First you have to choose the right bread, for me I buy it in my apartment's supermarket! You could buy chocolate ones, white ones, brown ones, wholemeal ones,... but I would choose black bread. Nutritious, delicious and lip smacking! Secondly, you have to put the bread in the toaster and let it BURN! But I like it when it’s a little burnt, crispy and crunchy! But don’t let it be too burnt! Use your senses, your smell! Smell if the toast is burnt. Next, put the toasts onto a plate and spread butter or jam or peanut butter or margarine or, … (Very Optional) Then, ENJOY! Eat with orange juice (My favourite) and enjoy the lovely breakfast! That’s all! Bye!
Tech advantages
Remember when QR codes became popular during the pandemic for things like accessing menus at restaurants or joining virtual events? Despite their convenience, some people are resistant to using them. Do you think this resistance is just a temporary hurdle, or could it be a sign of society's reluctance to embrace new technology? Can you think of any other technologies that were supposed to change the world but faced rejection instead?
Technology is full of conveniences. Now, in the golden era of tech, we use technology more often. QR codes help people access faster, electric cars or trains help people get here and there without damaging our world. But still, no one’s using it! One example is cash, where in the pandemic recently, they were used scarcely.. Why did no one use online money, then. In the pandemic, people tended to use online money instead of cash because they were infected with germs! New technology is becoming a necessity but some people still refuse to use it. Why? They tend to do things by themselves, for their own fun. Technology is good but they have problems. Electric cars, for example, are still being refused by a lot of people. They hate the inconveniences of having to park in the right place just to reload. Technology is good, but not everyone uses it. We don’t always need technology, but sometimes there is a necessity.
Would your life be more different if you had been born in the same place 30 years ago, or in another country 3000 kilometers away?
In a place 30 years away, take 1994 for example, we’ll have a life far more different than ours today. Social media in 2024 takes over. In 1994, everything was far more pleasant. Sure, phones were developed, but social media was still a mystery then.In the 90’s, phones were just based on SMS and calls. But now, in the mid 20’s, social media apps start to roll in and take over our lives. Phones weren’t the problem, the things inside them were the problem. If this continues, social media will take over our life. In 1994, the only thing you would worry about is even getting a IBM simon on a whopping $899 dollars! That’s like several thousands of dollars nowadays. The life difference in 30 years is a large amount that you can’t imagine. It tells us the whole life difference based on social media. Life would be a lot better and a lot worse. “Time is money” as Benjamin Franklin would say.
Investigate how fonts reflect social hierarchies and power dynamics within society. Examine how certain fonts are associated with prestige, authority, or exclusivity, while others are perceived as informal or rebellious. Discuss the implications of font selection in reinforcing or challenging societal norms and inequalities.
Think of a world where a font can make you seem more powerful. Power authorities are like that. Serif fonts like Times New Roman and Garamond show authorities that seem like you are a powerful symbol. Fonts could be rebellious, too. Fonts like Harlem Brush Regular show a rebellious font that people use in a rebellious march. Fonts show many meanings that go far more than just a pretty letter that we use everyday. Many fonts were fined for being “racist” like Wonton and Chow Fun. They were identified as "racist" as they were offending countries and races like Japan and African American. People felt offended as the fonts showed the bad rumors everyone told. They didn't want everyone to be racist to them! font shows social hierarchy and power authorities. Inequality reinforcing needs font as a necessity for them. They need certain fonts to help them solve inequality. And that’s just one of the things font could help us with. “Your choice of typeface is as important as what you do with it” Bonnie Siegler
All my friends over the past 4 years have had many memories with me will forever be in my heart, although we could not meet again, friendship will be with us, forever with fun. I'll miss the times I see my friends all laugh, all cry together...

World Scholar Cup Essay
A two-day cup was presented just yesterday. As of 6th of June, we saw beautiful moments from Monday to Wednesday. Today I’d like to tell you about all the historical and learningful lessons and new perspectives that I explored through 3rd of June till 5th of June. It started on MOnday kin St.Nicholas school and ended in a theatre.
The World Scholar Cup provided endless opportunities for me and my team consisting of Carat and Minh Tri to learn from. 4 subjects, providing lessons from each of them, proving everyone has a chance. Award Ceremonies were fun, everyone had nearly 1 medal and everyone had lots of fun. 4 ridiculously hard subjects are:
Collaborative Writing
Scholar’s Bowl
Scholar’s Challenge
Team Debate
(Additional round:
Un-talent show)
We had fun while we can in the most loved Danang Round and there’s even more news to come!
The first subject was Collaborative Writing. Basically what we did was discuss our opinion about our chosen topic for 15 minutes, then write a 6 paragraph essay for 40 minutes and then conclude for 15 minutes. I started with the topic: “What will people remember about 2024”? I wrote about all the sad deaths (Akira Toriyama, may he rest in peace) and the benefits (advanced A.I, tech, …) I got 16th place out of 50 students and won a gold medal. I’m pretty happy! Though I’m the highest in my group, everyone tried hard and helped me with the results. YAY!!!! We also got 13th in Team Collaborative writing.
The second topic was Scholar’s Challenge. In my opinion this was the hardest of them all, providing 90 questions on every topic. It was useful until about question 50, my brain got brainwashed. Then I tried my best on all of them but didn’t get any prizes for my team nor individual. It was fun while it lasted.
The third topic to end Monday was Team Debate. This was especially fun as we learned a lot about debate. We started with an easy and far-fetched win and then the next round we lost by 0.2 points. I don't know what’s frustrating, the other team was full of girls or we lost by a freaking 0.2!? The next match we won. By a landslide. Again. YAY!! I got a silver medal in individual(76th place, ahead of Dave) and a gold medal in Team debate. My finest achievement yet. SIUUU!
To end Monday was a song called: What could possibly go wrong? Very catchy though.
Monday started with some songs and happy faces. Then the Scholar Bowl came and ruined everyone’s experiences. Just kidding, it was fun. When they handed out buttons to press the answers I was so happy. We answered multiple questions but got nothing. At least we tried!
The award ceremony was different. Everyone was tired after a long day. But everyone was happy with their prizes. I got 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals but no trophy. I got qualified for the next global round by additional qualifications but my mom told me it was the best for a first try. I’ll try better next time!
Thanks and I’ll meet you at the global round!

MY 3 DAY TRIP IN DA NANG
Hi! My name is Lucas and today I will talk about my 3 day trip in da nang. We were there because my brother has to be in a contest and it is named world scholar bowl .We went to my mother’s friend's hotel . It is named Pontadavilla. The room was very big. We had brang my brother's laptop, a nintendo and much more. On the 1st day, my brother had to do the test and the subjects were collaborative writing, debate ,( By the way, you need points to get awards) and questions that when you answer them correctly you get points. When my brother was doing the test, me and my mom went to my mom’s friend's house to wait.On the 2nd day, my brother was free so when we woke up, we headed straight to the beach. When we were done with the beach, we took a shower and ate breakfast. Our breakfast was sticky rice. On the 3rd day it was the day they gave out rewards. Did I tell you we worked in groups? The total amount of rewards was 14 rewards. The 2 people in my brother’s group were minh tri and karat. My brother had 5 rewards, karat was 6 and minh tri was 3. When it was time for lunch, the scholars had pizza and coca cola.+
My happy trip to Da Nang( No, it’s not my hometown)
Da Nang is my near-hometown. It’s directly next to Quang Nam, and all the marvellous places it has. The Dragon Bridge, Bana hills, … I also went there for my World Scholar’s Cup competition, where I stayed at my mother’s friend's hotel for 3 days and at my Uncle for a day. Today, I’m going to tell you all about it! I hope you like it!
We landed at the Da Nang airport at around 6 O'clock in the evening. We headed straight to the hotel and had a wash then watched some TV. Then we slept and woke up on Monday 3rd of June, fresh and happy. We then got ready for my competition and headed to St.Nicholas school for the Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge and Team Debate. It went out smoothly, I even got to play games and had lots of fun with my friends. Lunch was great, Chicken with Chili Jam. Yummm… After it ended at 6 PM, I went home and had dinner with my friends. After the good seafood dinner, we went back to the hotel and slept. Tuesday 4th of June came fast and we had a free day! I stayed at the hotel for a little while, I watched some videos, TV and played with my teammates on Roblox. After that, my teammates, along with my friends: Carat, Minh Tri, Bin 1, Bin 2 and my sister and annoying brother, Kitty and Lucas. After I got them to go swimming, I swam for a few minutes then got a headache. So I went up first and had a good and refreshing bath. I waited for them to come and called lunch. I called a pig fried rice and ate munchily! We then got to Vincom Da Nang and I saw the Dragon Bridge on the way! We watched a movie called Totto-chan and I have to say, and I quote: “The worst movie ever” No comment on this but I have to say this movie had
No moral
Ugly humans
Naked children
Wars
Etcetera
After the movie, we went to the hotel to have a bath. Then we went to the Bin's (haha) house in Da Nang. We had lots of fun with plenty of food and chess. We actually played for a while though! Yay!
Wednesday 5th of June came as fast as Tuesday and we got off straight to a theatre for my next round. In there we practised Scholar Bowl and did it too! We ate a pizza lunch and got 5 medals as a prize! We also met my friend Dave at the Sushi restaurant. We came and ate lots of sushi and sashimi (although I only ate sushi and friend eels). We slept at my uncle’s house and woke up the next morning to go to my hometown in Quang Nam.
I will miss this place but I will see it loads of other times!
Da Nang is the goat!

My Time in Quang Nam
My first days in Quang Nam were exciting! After finishing my World Scholar’s Cup test, which happened on Monday the 3rd to Wednesday the 5th, I happily returned to my beloved hometown. My trip back was a bit rough, but I had time to play with my brother Lucas on a game of “Exploding Kittens-Good vs Evil”. After the game that I completely destroyed my brother with, I greeted my Grandma with a big hug and enjoyed a delicious sandwich for breakfast. Later, I had a yummy lunch with my family, including Grandma, Mom, Grandpa, and my aunt. Dinner was amazing, and I got to see a football game with my grandad too! My team, Vietnam, won 3-2 vs Malaysia in the World Cup Qualifiers.
On Friday, I kept busy by feeding the fish and visiting relatives. I even got some money to buy my favourite chewing gum, Xylitol! Playing with my siblings, Kitty and Giac, brought me fun and joy. After a satisfying lunch of traditional Vietnamese food, I took a refreshing nap and then gulped down a tasty snack. I had lots more fun later on, and I got to see another football match! Football is my favourite sport, so I loved watching it!
Saturday was filled with fun games like Roblox with my friends, the Bins. We played a lot of games and had a blast beating them! Afterwards, I worked on some essays and shared them on SunnyLucas.net. You can see them if you like! Despite finding Minh Viet Kids Academy a bit boring, I enjoyed the relaxing weekend.
Sunday started with a big yawn before I absolutely demolished another sandwich for breakfast. Then, I spent the day playing with my relatives and even worked on an essay that I'm proud of. I had a good nap so I was still sleepy doing the essay, but it got to more thang 500 words.I'm excited about some things I want to do in the upcoming days of the times I will do in Quang Nam:
Write more essays
Spend more time playing with my relatives
Take more naps
Visit more relatives
Cherish these loving moments together
And most importantly, I want to take care of my mouth issue!
I promise to myself that I will take care of my family and friends and look forward to the upcoming days in my beloved hometown. Hope you all have fun!
